"All right," Severus whispered, nodding, and he let both hands slide down to take hold of each of hers once again, but other than that, he didn't move yet. "What would you say to taking some toast and going outside to eat it by the lake? I know it's a bit chill and all, but I don't want to say goodbye again so soon -- not even for breakfast."
With a shrug, he added, "We can stop by the Slytherin common room and get my cloak, if you want." Then he paused and licked his lips, dropping his voice even more. "Or I'll keep you warm." He actually found that idea much more appealing, and considering that Mary was already blushing a bright crimson, he didn't think saying it aloud would make all that much difference.
