Sirius bounded back to the Gryffindor fifth year boys' dorm after sneaking a meat pie from the kitchens. The house elves had been beside themselves with happiness when someone showed up for them to shower food with. Dinner, of course, was good, but it was always much better to sneak into the kitchens. Food was better if you had to work for it. And of course, Sirius saw that Remus hadn't eaten much before the frazzled looking boy rushed off back to the tower, no doubt to bury himself in books again.
Bursting into the room the boys shared, Sirius spotted his bookish friend right where he expected him to be, reading on his bed. He slammed the door shut his butt, his hands full with the flask of pumpkin juice and pies he was holding.
"Remmy!" Sirius called with obvious relish. "I let you out of my sight for one minute, and you go back to your moldy books!"
He wandered over to his friend's bed annd helped himself up without so much as a pause for permission, shoving the meat pie under Remus' nose. "Eat," he ordered. "You're way too thin."
