Who: Tavish Harkness & Devon Harkness-Hart When: January 26, after talking to the Master Where: Dorm room What: Chatting Rating: PG 13
"Hi Tav!" Devon grinned
Tavish turned around. "Hey Dev." He looked distracted
"What's up?" She sat up.
Tavish shrugged. "Well. I might have met my timelord father. Now I've got to find the Doctor again to check it out."
Devon winced. "Oh. You okay?"
"Not sure. I mean, he's a bit ... intense, and he says he and the Doctor are at odds and all. Then there is the whole fact that Tad and Dad raised me, and yet I kind want to know my other heritage and such. But I don't want them to think I'm betraying them or anything." Tavish sighed and rubbed his face.
The girl gathered Tavish into her arms for a comforting hug
Tavish snuggled into Devon. "Oh... and I found out the Doctor is part human... strangely enough." He sighed.
"Oh?" Devon looked very surprise.
Tavish nodded. "Yeah, at least that's what Professor Saxon told me."
"He said it wasn't widely known though."
Devon frowned faintly. "Do you think that he can be telling the truth about that? I mean...He is the Master."
Tavish looked confused at Devon. "The Master?"
"Harold Saxon. The Master. He's the one that created the year that never was." Devon tilted her head. "Crazy as a loon."
"He ... he created the year that never was?" Tavish had just been told an alien was behind that. It had been implied that the other timelord had died trying to help, or at least that's what Tavish assumed.
Devon nodded. "Uncle Jack never told you the full story did he..."
"Actually Dad never told me anything about it. Tad told me."
"I got part of the story from Uncle Jack and part from Uncle Ioan."
"And part of that was that Saxon was behind it all?"
"Yeah.” Devon nodded slightly
"Well... shit." Tavish ran his hands through his hair. "Just... shit."
Devon hugged him again.
"So... that just makes things all the more complicated."
"Yeah." Devon breathed out a small breath. "But the Doctor may still help you."
"And if he does... and the Master is my... father?"
"That's something we'll have to see when we get there."
Tavish sighed. "I suppose so. It would be nice... well if my dad and tad were here so I could ask them about this stuff."
The woman nodded and snuggled him closer.
Tavish snuggled with Devon. "Is it bad that even if he was evil and all I still sort of want to get to know him?"
"I don't think so. He's still your dad and he has knowledge about your time lord ancestry."
"Well, he's part of what makes me what I am. I guess I want to know what strange bits of me come from him."
Devon nodded.
"I ever mention I'm really glad to have you as a cousin?"
Devon smiled. "Not really but actions speak louder then words."
"So... your hinting I should start making you coffee?"
Dev laughed. "Not exactly what I was saying but if you are offering."
Tavish nudged Devon and grinned.
The woman smooched Tavish cheek.
"Hey." Tavish swiped his cheek. "What you do that for?"
"For being adorable."
Tavish grinned. "Oh, well of course."
Devon laughed. "Yep. Definitely a Harkness."
Tavish huffed. "You keep saying that as if there is doubt."
She winked. "You should see what Uncle Jack says when I do something purely Hart."
Tavish laughed.
The woman grinned. "It's chaos. I'm telling you."
"Hmm... with a name like the Master... I wonder what kind of traits I get from him?"
"If you were a woman I'd say you'd be a dominatrix."
Tavish looked disturbingly thoughtful.
"I have a leather corset if you want." Devon joked.
"But would it fit..." he muttered to himself.
"Never know till you try. You could look good in it."
Tavish looked very thoughtful. "Well... it might be interesting to try. No harm in that, right?"
"Nope. To my dorm?"
"Sure."
Dev grabbed his hand and took him back to her dorm where she proceeded to dig though her closet.
Tavish made sure the door was locked and drapes drawn
"Ah ha! Here we go!" She pulled out a tasteful corset with a flowing peasant’s top. "Here. Try."
Tavish looked doubtful
"Come on! Try it!'
Tavish took off his shirt and tried to manage putting on the corset.
"Put the peasants top on first. I'll help you with the corset."
Tavish did as he was directed.
Devon wrapped the corset around him and threaded it up and tightened it down, making sure he could still breath.
Tavish lightly traced his fingers down the front of the corset and looked in the mirror. "It's tight..." he kind of liked it.”Why do you... oh, never mind."
"I like corset tops. They're like a sort of armor. That and I like the support."
"I can see that." He twisted to look at himself from the side. "So... what do you think?"
"I think change the under top and you'd have a medieval type look. It's nice."
"Do all corsets require and undershirt?"
"Nope but most those have built in cups."
"Hmmm...” Tavish looked appreciatively at himself in the mirror
"I think you found the period clothing you like." Devon chuckled referencing her father's and uncles like of those sorts of clothes.
"I'm not a Time Agent, I'm a timelord."
"Pish. So?"
"And I sincerely doubt I would wear something like this in public, unless it was for a party, or on stage or something."
"Aw."
"Well, it's hardly normal for a man to wear something like this, is it?"
Devon raised an eyebrow. "Depends the subculture you follow."
"Well I'm not really sure what Tad would say." Tavish looked uncharacteristically self conscious
"Honestly I don't think Uncle Ianto will be all that surprised."
"Well maybe not surprised... but... well, I really care about his opinion." On a lot of things.
"I understand. I'm the same with my Dad."
"Dad probably wouldn't mind. He's pretty flexible about things like this. But Tad... I love him and all but he is 21st century."
"And liking this kind of feels... odd to me? I guess I was raised a bit 21st century too."
"But there is still dad in the back of my mind saying what's the problem?"
Devon nodded. "Both my parents are 51st century but I was raised around 21st century family too. So I know where you're coming from."
"And who knows what a timelords view on anything would be."
"I heard the 5th regeneration of the Doctor wore celery on his shirt..."
"Celery? As in the vegetable?"
"Hrm,"
Tavish looked at himself again and grinned. "So what were you saying about Dominatrix?"
"Yes. As in the vegetable." Devon laughed. "Skirt or pants?"
Tavish tilted his head. "Pants. Definitely."
Devon chuckled and reached into her closet to pull out soft leather pants and boots.
Tavish pulled on the pants and boots. He rubbed his hands down the pants enjoying the feel of them.
Dev whistled. "Nice."
"I think I need a whip or riding crop or something like that."
The woman grinned mischievously and pulled a riding crop out of the closet.
Tavish gave her a look. "I... am completely not surprised for some reason." He took the crop and slapped it against his thigh.
Then he looked at the whole package in the mirror.
Devon laughed. "Present from an old school mate."
Tavish took a breath in enjoying the tight feeling around his ribs. "I... am incredibly turned on right now."
Devon quirked an eyebrow.
"What?" Tavish flushed
"Just thinking I might have to go find you a quick shag."
"Ah..." Tavish flushed again. "Well..." He fidgeted. "Not that I would object to having sex with someone... not really.... er… in theory."
"You're a virgin."
Tavish went a bright red all the way to the tips of the ears.
"Oh stop it. I am too.'
He blinked. "Oh.” He just barely managed to not say it is different for girls.
"And it's not that different for girls."
He furrowed his brow. "Oookay. I know I have mental shields." And a high level of mental prowess.
"Facial expression. A nice little talent I picked up from Mum. She's mildly empathic and does a lot of reading body language."
"Oh good. Was thinking I was loosing my shields there for a moment."
Devon patted him on the head. "Just cause there's a membrane doesn't make it all that much different. Just makes the first time painful and the membrane grows back in seven years anyways."
Tavish scowled at the pat. "Well there are long ranging social customs about such things that I think would have more of an impact."
"That's the only thing that makes them different. Though mind there are social customs about a boy become a man."
Tavish looked down at his outfit. "Well, I think I might not exactly fit most social customs." He looked thoughtful. "I wonder what customs Timelords have?"
"Don't know."
Tavish winced and tugged at the pants and shirt and corsette. “I think I should definitely get this in my own size.” He started taking off the pants. “And get some pants cut for a man.”
