Satine listened with interest about this brother, Will. Just the idea that Raven had someone to be close to made Satine's heart lighten.
"Having a confidant and a protector is never a bad thing," Satine said with certainty. "Overbearing, perhaps, but never bad." The accent of her days in France marred her words a bit as some sadness thinking about her protector seeped into her thoughts.
"You will never let go of the past, Raven," Satine answered simply. "You will learn to cope with it, though. Belief in yourself. Taking a look at the truths you are learning. Those will help make it bearable."
