[ Who ]: teenage!Sam Winchester & OTA (other hunters especially!) [ Where ]: The streets of Malvern and a library [ When ]: Morning, around 9am [ Status ]: Open | Incomplete [ Rating ]: PG-13
The last thing that Sam remembered was him and Dean finally passing out in a cheap motel room that smelled like pizza and beer somewhere in Missouri around midnight while John was out on a long hunt. Though he had protested earlier that day about it being the fifth high school that he got enrolled in, Sam came home (if one could call a motel room "home") and did his homework while Dean ordered pizza for dinner. After they got done eating, Dean started quizzing Sam on the various kinds and ways to hunt, trap, and kill the monsters of 'their' world until the two grew tired and fell asleep.
But when he woke up in a back alley in a new place, Sam was beyond confused. To go to bed in a motel room and wake up somewhere else was beyond him, and it boggled his mind more so than any creature, spirit, or demon that he would've encountered hunting. Getting up from the pavement, his hazel eyes frantically scanned the area for his brother, but to no avail. Sammy was alone now. Alone and in a city without Dean or John. If he was honest with himself (which he always was), a little scared, too. He had to be a tough guy now, like his father and brother. But there was always one place that Sammy could go whenever he was alone and scared like this - a library.
Sam brushed himself off a little, and started walking the streets of this new place. Where was he, exactly? What was going to happen to him? He didn't have a family here; no place to call home. What was Dean going to do when he found out that Sam wasn't in the bed across the room from his? Wait, Sammy knew what Dean was going to do - he'd tear the town apart looking for him. And when he couldn't be found, he was going to call Dad and tell him.
As he walked, those questions kept spinning around in circles in his mind, along with the new ones that would creep up every now and again. Sam shook his head a little bit, but kept walking until he came across the library. He put on his best brave face, and walked in, heading straight for the mythology section. Sammy found a book that caught his interest, and sat at one of the tables before cracking it open to read.
