Jack continued to sob, for how long, he didn't know. When he finally stopped, he didn't feel any better, if anything he felt worse. The hollow numbness of reality was settling in, leaving him with a sinking feeling. Like falling down a dark hole, yet never landing.
He pulled back slightly, finally letting go from his friends and family, sitting back on his haunches. "I'm sorry." He said, his head bowed. He wiped his eyes and face with his hand, not really caring right then. "I shouldn't have..." He shook his head, finally looking up to meet Rose's eyes first. The pity and sympathy in those beautiful brown eyes, made him close his own and shake his head. "I'm sorry." He said again, choking on his words slightly. "I didn't mean to get all weepy." His voice cracked, sniffling when he chanced a look at his brother then the Doctor. "I've just been holding it since it happened in London yesterday, i guess i broke." He said with a nod, wiping his eyes once again.
Jack wasn't embarrassed by emotions, that was one of those silly 21st century things, men not being allowed to cry or emote. He just was worried that he may have made them uncomfortable, he knew that dealing with other peoples mourning was never a pleasant task.
