Summary: The path of sound credence is through the thick forest of skepticism. ~George Jean Nathan It all starts when Brian ‘saves’ Justin, but Justin isn’t down a well and Brian isn’t a hero. In fact, they actually sort of hate one another after this but that doesn’t stop them from playing their own games. Neither one of them want a boyfriend but due to unstoppable forces that’s what they’ll become. Not that they’ll admit it. Brian and Justin will reach a point that they’ll have to decide to move forward together or stop ‘whatever they are doing’ and go back to life without one another. You could say that it’s a bit of a challenge.
Notes: Brian and Justin meet in March during Justin’s senior year at P.I.F.A. That would put the timeline in canon at about season 5 in this fiction but there is no Jenny Rebecca. Many things within the series have happened to all canon characters, excluding Justin. He has his own unique story, but his character is much the same as his season 3 character with the exception of a few minor tweaks I suppose.

Some of them we get names for, most of them we don't, but every one of them has a story of their own. It's time to expand some of those stories, and look at the world a little bit beyond our usual gang. The Challenge:
Choose a background extra from a scene in an episode of Queer As Folk.
Write a story with that extra as the main POV character, which somehow incorporates their presence in that canon scene. It can start there, end there, incorporate the scene somewhere in the middle, have it as flashbacks - whatever you like! - as long as it's in there somewhere.
You can incorporate as many or as few of the main cast as you like, always keeping in mind the community rules. Minimum word count should be around 500 words, and there is no maximum. Everything else is up to you! Stories can be canon-compliant, AU, crossovers, or crack, just tag your fics with the appropriate warnings.
Stories should be posted to qaf-odd-numbers with the heading "Tales From [location]," and the POV character name or ID.

or even:
