Kyle shook his head. "No - I... There's nothing clean in here. You'd just make it worse. We'll... We'll have to find something to clean it in the morning," Kyle said, facing the reality of that. He had panicked so much over infection earlier on, but he was refusing to let him think about that now. Not with animals rampaging outside, not with knowing quite how filthy everything was in here. 'Cleaning' his wound right now would probably make it worse, not better.
Adam frowned, not liking that. "Then here, can you spare more of that blanket? I can at least cover it for you." And find him pants. That was another good idea. The blacksmith had to have something clothing-wise laying around right? He went looking for that as well, digging around on shelves to see if he could find something that would work.
Kyle ripped another strip off the blanket and held it out. "As long as you can leave me enough to protect my dignity, you can have as much as you'd like," he told the other man. It wasn't like he had much of a choice, given that he'd been stark bollock naked when they'd been chased out of their tent. He'd had some kind of toga design in mind, but possibly he would end up more in a kilt.
Adam pushed aside another set of tools and found what he was looking for, the blacksmith's back up clothes. There was a pair of pants that were at least five times too big for Kyle, but it was better than nothing. "Or you could try these?" he suggested, bringing them over and taking the strip of blanket and started wrapping it around Kyle's shoulder as tightly as he could to stop the bleeding.
Kyle arched a brow, then ripped off another strip of blanket as Adam finished wrapping his shoulder. “Please, god, save me from these ever fitting,” he muttered as he climbed into them, hoping to god that maybe they’d be clean. He used the strip of blanket as a makeshift belt, leaving himself looking very much like he was wearing a burlap sack.
"It's better than being naked, for everyone but me," Adam pointed out, but smiled a little at the pants and shook his head. "Trust me. There is no humanly way you could be that large." He rested his hands on Kyle's hips, just to prove the point. "You're too scrawny in general."
Kyle shot him an arc look. “I’m not scrawny,” he retorted.
Adam just raised an eyebrow, running his fingers over where Kyle's ribcage was a little more pronounced than his own. "It's not bad. Just...might buy you a burger for our first date."
Kyle’s jaw dropped and he stared at Adam. “I can’t believe that you actually said that!” he exclaimed. “Just because I keep myself in shape. Fat and muscle are two different things, but, I mean… If I’m not attractive to you…”
Adam gave Kyle a look, not at all amused with where he'd taken that. "Since when would you not be attractive to me?" he asked, sounding completely confused where that had come from. "In the back of my mind, I'm legitimately thinking about the fact that we're locked in a room alone, even though i think i stepped in something dead out there." He shook his head slowly, running his fingers over Kyle's skin again. "It's not about you keeping yourself in shape. It's about being healthy too right?"
