The captain nodded at Talos’ first question, of course it was alright; folk had to know what was what. And maybe even was a chance that Talos might know the significances of the gorram thing. “I haven’t a clue what the Alliance would want with it. But, was an old Earth-that-Was artifact. Some sort of trinket, a sphere to be exact. About soo big… golden colored with some sort of writing edged into it. Captain Reynolds showed me a visual of it, hadn’t even seen the damn thing before hand… was just told of the chest that I was to find aboard the Doranin, that apparently it was held in.” She held her hands out about six inches high, and six inches wide; when she spoke of how big it was. “The thing was nestled into a base made out of the same substance, which I’m assuming is gold… until otherwise noted. It was pulling a real pretty price too.”
Then the captain nodded, “That might have been so Mr. Markan, but Serenity was supposed to have docked planetside already. Radio silence would have had nothing to do with that. And, at the time, wasn’t so certain that it was the damn purple bellies responsible; or at least, never talked about it with Captain Reynolds.”
Emerald nodded a bit when she saw Vladmir walk in; tilting her head slightly. She nodded, “Well, that sounds better than nothing. Though, you said she had some real work needing done on her, so… before that’s really an option, would need Akira to take a look at ‘ere. See what all the damage is, to get her flying again.” Then she looked thoughtful, and added. “Perhaps could have Lola,” And she pointed some to her at the end of the table. “Take a look at the Doranin’s last coordinates, in relation to us on Paquin. Figure out the most likely flight path for a firefly, instead of having to trail our way physically to the ship… though if need be we can return to scan the nav-sensory that may still remain.” She smiled some at Lola, as in asking if she would have a problem doing that.
