It was something Lula never seemed to pick up on either, which Lola didn't fully understand but appreciated nonetheless. She didn't want her petty jealousy and insecurity shared.
When Emerald gave her the look, she straightened her back and held her head up higher. Her eyes hardening slightly, her jealousy making Emeralds innocent question and look into the older woman trying to prod her into changing her mind. Especially when the woman continued speaking and listing all the downfalls of her going along. "I am very sure Captain." She folded her hands in her lap, nodding. "Complicated, that's a good word for Talos." She turned to look at the woman, repeating her like she was confused by what the other woman was saying. "Won't see any of the danger?" Curious, "are there really folk on ships like yours who don't see the danger?" The younger girl didn't sound scared, she wasn't looking forward to danger or anything, but she was willing to take the risk. Willing to do anything to not be left behind this time.
Lola had never been the best engineer, but she'd seen the girls plans. She knew all about the ship, and it wasn't really something you could ever forget. Nor was the ships purpose. Neither of these were big enough things to stop her. Though Emeralds final statement made her pause a bit. "You want me to fly Lorrayna?" She knew she could fly her too, but the fact that Emerald wanted her to fly, that was something else entirely. It was surprising, and an honor. And also the scariest thing she'd heard through the whole conversation.
