Dori offered the captain a small quirk of her lips in thanks. The weapons didn't make her nervous, really, but she didn't know Talos either, so they might have just a little. Mostly they would have greatly been in the way of the examination.
She took note of the mans extensive scars, desensitized to seeing old battle wounds after having dealt with so many similar wounds during the war itself when they were still fresh and bleeding. The flashing light in his chest made it clear where they needed to be starting, and also made Dori look a tiny bit curious.
When Talos settled in, she stepped over to him, looking a tiny bit amused. "Mr. Markhan, every patient comes in here's special," was her friendly response.
Then she turned toward Simon a bit, nodding her head toward the light that Talos seemed to pay no mind too. "Think just old fashioned cut 'er out will do?" Tracking devices weren't things they often dealt with, so she was happy to ask for opinions of her temporary colleague.
