“Well try harder, Sam. You got friends wanting to help. Like Sarah said: ‘Two heads are better than one’. So I figure, a whole lotta heads should be better than two. I may not be book smart like the rest of you, but at least I’m good at what I do and that’s killing those fuckers.”
Sigh. “Besides Bobby and you; all I have is my sisters and just like Dean, I think I would be willing to do anything to keep them safe. Maybe it’s the big-sibling-complex or whatever; but from Dean’s p.o.v. I understand why he did what he did. He loves you Sam.”
As she dug her cell out of her back pocket and flipped it open, Deena speed-dialed her sister Sarah to give them a heads-up that she was fine and was with Sam so that she and Allie could stop with their worrying. As for their questions of when she would return, that was left unanswered and Deena informed Sarah that even she didn’t know. The one thing that she did know, Deena wasn’t about to leave Sam by his lonesome even if he didn’t want her around.
When she had hung up and turned to look at Sam’s back. “Since life is like a game of poker, it’s time to play the cheating cards Sam.”
