Sam was usually pretty good at keeping up with his brother pace-wise, even when Dean was in a rush and not slowing down for anybody. It probably had a lot to do with his height advantage. Today, however, Sam was lagging behind and quiet. It wasn't a huge lag--it wasn't like he was ten feet behind--but he definitely wasn't doing the usual walking beside, Winchester's proud kind've walk.
He let Dean speak first, hands in his pocket as he stood near the table awkwardly. Sam would never admit to Dean that what they were up against was making him nervous, nor would he talk about the new big bad on the horizon if he didn't have to, but it couldn't be denied. Things were tense, even between the brothers, and Sam wasn't dumb. He knew it was because he hadn't told Dean about Lilith, even if at the time he hadn't known it was her, per se, just another demon after his ass.
He didn't exactly like the idea of splitting up, but even he had to admit they would get further that way. So when Dean piped up for him or Sarah to give a plan, he figured he'd at least let them know their teams. "You, Deena, Jo, and Sarah." Sam said quietly to Dean, rocking slightly on his heels. "Me, Allie, and..." He hesitated in saying the last name, not exactly sure he wanted to reveal to Dean who else he planned on working with, especially after the last fight. "Um. Ruby."
