Prompt: Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett/Han: Abduction as Seduction – I’m here to take you in.
“So, what’d Jabba pay you?” Han shifted uncomfortably on the prison pallet; his hands were out of commission behind his back, firmly fastened at the wrist by electronic cuffs.
Boba Fett turned to Han and tilted his head. “That is none of your concern.”
“What about the Empire?”
“The credits are more than you’ve ever seen in a lifetime,” Fett said.
“I don’t know. I’ve seen a lot.”
“Have you now?” Fett tilted his head at him again.
Han grit his teeth and glared. With each tilt of that damn helmet, the bounty hunter was mocking him.
“Yeah, I have.” Damn, Han thought, out of snappy comebacks. “What’d you spend it on anyway?”
“Equipment to fulfill my needs,” Fett said.
“Like what?”
“You ask an awful lot of questions.”
“You give some awful vague answers,” Han said. “And besides, what else am I gonna do to pass the time? Stare at the wall? I bet this is the most you’ve talked to anyone outside of a business transaction.”
Fett folded his arms. “You are part of the transaction.”
“I didn’t make it,” Han frowned. “I’m the victim here. You think I like being in these cuffs??”
“I think you like a lot of things that you do not talk about,” Fett said.
Han stood and faced the man. “What are you suggesting?”
Fett took a step forward and used his gun-free hand to shove Han back to the pallet. “You’ve never truly seen the man beneath the armor, have you?”
“Hold on a parsec,” Han said, scooting away. “You can leave that armor on. I don’t do that stuff.”
“So you say,” Fett unlatched the helmet at his neck and lifted it away.
Han leaned heavily against the wall, flashbacks of a night spiraling through his head.
He saw a seedy bar at the outskirts of Coruscant, specializing in bondage and catering to all gender preferences. He made some winnings at a dice game, teaming up with a particularly quiet fellow at the table. As the evening went on, the quiet fellow opened up more and more.
Han’s inhibitions came crashing down when the quiet fellow whispered to him and slid a cuff around his wrist – Han didn’t say no and he couldn’t blame the alcohol. The next morning, the man was gone.
Han blinked away the memories and stared. “That was you.”
“I am allowed brief respites,” Fett responded as he replaced the helmet. “You were pleasurable company at the time.”
Han continued to stare.
“Regardless, there is no stop to what they are going to do to you,” Fett said. “Vader will interrogate you to acquire the information that he seeks. When he is through with you, he has agreed to release you into my care for transport to Jabba.”
“That doesn’t sound so bad,” Han said.
“Vader will no doubt resort to torture and you are to be transported after being frozen in carbonite.”
“Aren’t you just a regular ray of sunshine?”
“I offer you truth,” Fett said. “Take it or leave it.”
“I’d take it, but somehow I know there’d be strings attached,” Han said.
“No strings,” Fett said. He entered his code into the door, “Just a fibercord whip launcher, retractable vibro-blades, and a dart launcher.” He turned to face Han before he left, “And that’s just in my right gauntlet.”
The door closed with a hiss and Han muttered, “I’ve got a bad feeling about this.”
