WHO: Ambrose and Klaus WHEN: Week 2, Tuesday Afternoon WHERE: Ambrose's Home WHAT: Klaus heard that a child of his that he secretly feels bad about screwing with is in town and wants to say hello. RATING: PG? STATUS: Closed - In Progress
Though he'd made no outward mention of it when he'd seen the post on the network, Klaus had certainly looked into the chance that one of his progeny were in town aside from Bastien, one he hadn't seen in quite some time. Ambrose had been a failure, but not in the way that Klaus typically deemed his children failures. In truth the ancient vampire was all too aware of the ways in which he had failed the young man as a sire, not that he would ever admit that to anyone. Had it not been for his siblings, he might never have seen how close he'd become to truly being like Mikael. It was why, when Ambrose had wanted to leave, he hadn't killed him or deemed it betrayal. He'd even let the boy's father go along with him. And, yes, Ambrose would forever be a boy to Klaus, no matter how much younger he looked in comparison.
Niklaus wasn't sure exactly what he sought to accomplish by seeking his progeny out. Ambrose hated him and with good reason. For that matter, the older vampire would never actually admit to doing wrong in regards to the child, so an apology wasn't to be given either. Perhaps he just wanted to let his son know that they were both in town and to express that he'd no wish to harm him or his slave. He'd seen the blonde leave the house before he'd let himself in, mentally smirking at how similar he and Ambrose's current tastes seemed to be. No doubt the fool had grown to care deeply for this girl and doted on her nonstop. It was Ambrose's way, after all, and that nature had been ironclad in spite of Klaus' attempts to break him of it for his own good.
After taking a self-guided tour of the house, the vampire settling into a large, comfortable armchair in the living room. It was perhaps a bit overly dramatic to just be waiting there for his son, but Klaus had always had a bit of a flair for drama.
