Arrow shot across the air at a blazing speed, snapping through the head of one of the many targets Zelda had placed around the fields he currently rode through. The horse he sat atop was strong, powerful, and burst through the river and up across another hill at high speeds as Link pushed her just that much harder, leaning down to whisper to her, "Come on Epona. Just a bit more, then we both can get some rest..."
As the horse was spurred onward, Link gripped at the reigns and lowered his bow to his side. Wearing his green cloth, so as to get used to maneuvering with the heavier chainmail beneath, Link sported his shield and sword on his back, with the bow set in his arm at his side, a place for it and quiver on the saddle he currently sat upon.
His eyes scanned the horizon, until he spotted a glint and spun Epona in that direction, "Hya!" He offered and off she sped, clomping up ground after ground as they gained on the target which was moving this time. A blast came from it, and hit Link causing him to nearly fall back. Gripping onto the reigns, Epona just kept running forward as he swung himself back on. Shaking his head, he notched an arrow into the bow and brought it up, taking aim and firing the single bolt through the air at the target. The gust that it blew out though quickly ripped that arrow to shreds and sent it sailing. Link grit his teeth and cut Epona to the left, forward still, then cut her back to the right to ignore one of the blasts once more, trying to take another shot, but not able to get it off when the blast hit him.
Oh he was going to make Zelda pay for this one, that was for sure. Whipping his hand against Epona, he then twisted her left, then right, then right for the target. Link finally decided to go a bit rogue with this and hopped onto his feet on the horse's back, notching an arrow he kicked off the back of Epona, high into the air and to the side, firing off a bolt which the target had to take a shot at to deflect, which was what allowed Link to drop his bow as he hit the ground, rolling to his feet with sword and shield coming to hand.
He ran the rest of the way there, not too far off, before bringing his shield up to take the blast full on, then swung in to chop the sword clean through the target's head. Grinning, he looked at Epona who approached him slowly, before he took a deep breath. Nodding his head, he gave the horse a nudge of his elbow, "Good job, girl."
