Who: Greg and Ryan
Where: Greg and Ryan's home
When: Week 18, Monday Afternoon
What: Ryan's first day back at work.
Rating: NC-17, probably.
Status: Closed/In progress
Even before he got to return to work Ryan had to serve out a suspension. It was fine for him as he got to spend more time with his boyfriend and their new found intimacy. The bad thing was that when Greg was working there was nothing really for Ryan to do. He had no work that he could be doing, his cases had been taken away from him, and worst of all he was so behind on Beckett's case that there was little chance he would ever be able to help. He hated leaving his friend high and dry, but he had to think about his relationship with Greg and put it first.
Finally his first day of work came. He was excited to get back to work, but he also knew it would not be like it use to be. He was on probation that would probably last forever. Ryan also had to realize that he was going back to work with some supers that would be happy to see he had been knocked down a peg or two. He had to remind himself to be more subservient than usual. It would do well if everyone thought he was still a bit broken.
While the precinct was just has he had left, his desk was not. Some other person was now using Beckett's desk and they were not in a mood to chat. He also realized that he was now a glorified secretary. He did the work that other cops didn't want to, proofing, finishing files, and files said files. Ryan also took evidence down to the lock up and brought evidence back up. Pretty much anything that was asked he did. He had to put up with the jabs by other cops and looks of pity by the human cops. For the first time in his life, well in a long time, he was so happy to get off and go home. At least his work did not follow him home, but he felt as tired has as the days he had been chasing bad guys all over the city.
Once home he took his jacket off and hung it up before leaning against the door. He felt bone tired and didn't want to move from where he was. It was an emotional wiriness that he was experiencing. Moving from the door he went to Greg's study hoping to find his boyfriend there. If not, there was always a couch that he could crash on for a while.
