"Mmhmm," he clucked with a sly smile of his own. "You could always go through the Ministry's public office to set up a testing crew - I doubt most people are as secretive as us," he suggested. "Wait, you made this one? Damn, Vane, what are you doing toiling away here? You could make big money working for Pucey or any of his ilk." Technically, Amortentia wasn't illegal, but it was highly regulated by the Ministry and most legit potionsmasters simply didn't want to bother with it. He didn't blame them. Of all potions, he'd mess with it the least of them.
He laughed at her assessment of their coworker, "Though, she was a really good catch for the Department. Her joke-making caught my dad's attention, and he and George wanted to hire her for the shop, for inventing and the like, but she turned them down to work here when she started a couple of years ago." He shrugged again, honestly agreeing (internally) with her conclusion.
He gave her a genuine smile then, and said, "Honestly? Same. Though I bet our being children of our dads is what made us this way. I could never really trust doors, or shadows, or toilets at my parents' place."
"Something wrong with it?" He asked, noticing her seeming to ponder something specific.
