Vi nodded, "Yeah, that's fine. Better than trying to memorize it all I imagine," she said with a little giggle. She was surprised he went straight to the questions, but at the same time - they were here for an interview, right?
"Oh! Um, well, if I'm honest? I don't really remember. My first memories all include music of some sort - my mother is an accomplished pianist. When I became a bit obsessed myself, she started teaching me. I was ten or so." She shrugged, feeling badly that she didn't have a better story, it hadn't seemed all that extraordinary to her. "I taught myself guitar, eventually, but probably could still do with some lessons," she said with a little, genuine laugh. She wasn't simply putting herself down to seem less talented or anything, she truly believed she could do with some help on her fingering.
