"Do you draw?" she asked, instantly curious about what was in the margins of their notebooks. "Tell me more about your notebooks, how many do you have?" she asked curiously, already wanting to look at their work. She assumed some had to be devoted to experiments, but she wondered too if they kept a journal of some sort. Both would be incredibly interesting.
"Something about you lets me know that even if you came to be the richest wizard this side of the Atlantic, you wouldn't ever become a dick like these cranky old men I've met," she admitted. "So, no note needed. At least for you."
Did she mention that her building was the old Borgin & Burkes? She settled on not telling Frankie, at least not yet. She still wanted to see just what sort of treasures she might unearth, even if it had been an incredibly long time. She hoped for some residual magics. "It isn't, but I'm renting the space so there isn't as much money going into that yet. I also was already running the business out of my home, sort of a traveling antique dealer. I think this space will just be a good place to keep all of my artifacts. I am acquiring a few extra pieces, mostly flashy things for the window. I'm wanting to carry more than just books. I've got a shipment of crystal balls coming in, and I'm looking to get my hands on an extremely rare one for a client. Phoenix is getting the necessary pieces together for it," she said, realizing then she had said a lot more than she had intended. The crystal ball she was trying to get was one they were going try to lift from a wizard in a week. No need to spill all of her secrets, she thought.
