Frankie had to admit they were nervous. They had ended up picking out their outfit much earlier in the week than they normally would to make sure things that would coordinate with both their hair and the setting would be ready. Once Friday rolled around they had had to do a little nervous pacing in their flat. It had been quite some time since they had been on a date, and they had never been on a date with a woman.
It was just before 7 when they arrived at the bar, hair having had a touch up, and dressed in their outfit, using a version of the shirt with wine-dark purple-red flowers instead of the bright red so it didn't clash so much with their hair. They also suspected it would appeal to Penny.
Eventually they left their flat and apparated as close to the chosen venue as they dared. They were glad there was going to be a little alcohol involved, although they also planned to drink plenty of water too. They didn't feel like drunken hook ups were a thing they wanted right now (or at least not purely that).
"Good evening, can I help you?" the nearest server said as Frankie stepped in. Their hair definitely got an eye flick towards it, but nothing was said aloud. Frankie took that as a positive.
"Yes, I should be meeting Penny Ahuja," they said, stumbling slightly over the pronunciation of the surname.
