"Oh, I hadn't decided yet," she admitted. She had a few favorites, of course, but she often didn't know what she was going to order until she was in the moment of actually ordering. A bit strange, perhaps, but she was indeed a bit odd anyway.
When he said that, she paused, her head tilted slightly, wondering if she should tell him it wasn't Friday. Had he mixed up the days? Was he supposed to be at work now? She looked at him a little closer, realizing that his was a face she should know. From where, though? Hmm, she would chew on it in the back of her mind, she thought.
"It's Saturday," she told him, her face shifting a bit in concern. "They're not missing you at work tonight, are they?" she asked, hoping for his sake that he'd meant to say Saturday.
