Thad chuckled under his breath at her concern. Of course her teammates were watching, but it wasn't like he was going to make out with her in the pub or anything. He was eager, not an idiot. He lifted his drink in a mock salute. "Congrats again on your win tonight," he toasted before downing it--why waste a good drink, after all, even if the ones at the Drunken Zebra were better.
He turned away from her then, hoping that this wasn't her way of brushing him off rather more dramatically, but he supposed if she didn't show up in a reasonable amount of time, he'd take the loss and head back out somewhere else. He chatted a couple other people up as he headed toward the exit, long enough to take people's minds off his conversation with Rachel but not so long that she would forget the plan. And once he left the pub and apparated back home, he sent her a quick text: Made it home. Hope to see you soon.
