The beauty of Magical Britain keeping mostly the same breaks as Muggle Britain meant free days for reasons Frankie didn't participate in. At least not anymore. Good Friday was definitely one of those.
They had set it aside for a bit of exploring. Outside of London for once, since the rush of kids onto the streets, most of whom were taller than them, was irritating when packed in with the inevitable tourists.
Frankie had instead apparated to Godric's Hollow, somewhere they had been only once before. That, however, had been a boring work job. This time there was space to wander around the small village, note names familiar in magical history in the graveyard and eventually wind up at the pub.
It turned out it looked mostly traditional from the outside with off-white walls and striking dark maroon paint around the door and windows, but there were also a couple of discreet pride flags tucked in the corner of the board by the door.
The person behind the bar hadn't even blinked at the candyfloss pink hair on Frankie's head when they had ordered a pint of cider and one of the sandwich and chips combos. They took it as a good sign and wandered over to a table that tucked somewhat into one of the corners created by a half-removed division between two once-smaller rooms. The chair was comfy looking and Frankie flung down their canvas jacket, pulled out their latest reading book from their bag and began to read. It was early afternoon, post whatever lunch rush might have happened and there were a decent smattering of customers, but nobody who seemed likely to bother them. They made sure to leave the small token displaying their order number in the fashion of a magical hologram easily visible and stuck their nose in the book.
