RP: Meet in the middle Who: Katarina, Coira What: Flirting, do opposites attract? When: 21st May 2029 Where: Warnings: TBC Completion Status: Ongoing
As rarely as Katarina managed to have the energy and the will to have a big evening out, especially at a weekend, she loved to really bask in it when she did. She had dressed herself up in a slightly over the top dress and two petticoats (which did a helpful dual duty of puffing out her skirt and keeping her a bit more comfy when sitting down), plus some slightly ridiculous shoes she'd bought recently.
She was perched on a stool with a fancy looking pink and orange mocktail watching people. It was a bit too loud for her to follow conversations she wasn't a part of, and Hen, who had come with her, had also abandoned her already in favour of sticking a tongue down someone's throat. Not that Katarina was complaining really, she'd come out to try and meet someone after all. Dating apps had been disappointing recently, and she wanted to try meeting people in person again.
She wasn't sure if it was the time she spent at Taboo that had changed her tastes and expectations of attractive dress, but she suddenly spotted a woman who reminded her of rock, kink, and pretty much everything opposite to herself all at once. It hit her like a wave and like a wave it was even more of a surprise when it washed back over her on the way back past her. She couldn't pass this one up.
Carefully Katarina slipped off the stool, extended her collapsible (slightly glittery) cane from its hiding place in her purse, and made her way over to the intriguing woman. She wasn't sure she should pull out a cheesy line, but she'd been spending too much time with certain dad-joke tellers again and couldn't get one out of her head.
She smiled as she approached. "Hi, I think we dressed from the opposite ends of the dress spectrum, but they do say opposites attract," she said. She almost said something about meeting in the middle, but that might be a step too far.
