"Hi, Harrison," she said rather less brightly than normal. "A friendly face is nice," she agreed. "It's been a morning." She was kind of working on explaining instead of apologising too much. At least in her personal life, but it often didn't stick for very long.
"Sure, I was going that way too," she said. Part of her wanted to have a quiet lunch, but on the other hand she did enjoy his company. "I'm hoping part of the headache is lack of food and a need for coffee or water," she said. She turned and joined him to walk the short distance to the pub.
"No training today?" she asked. She wasn't sure how soon professional training would start again in earnest before the new season, although she assumed he had to do maintenance work in the off-season.
