Arriving back from Canada following the end of the Quidditch World Cup Daani was physically exhausted, but being mentally exhausted was more pressing on her mind. Very rarely in the usual course of her duties was she called on to do so much live translation for so many consecutive (or almost consecutive) days in a row. But now she was off on holiday, so she could fully decompress before she had to be back at work again. Thankfully she had been permitted to do all of her in person post-event reports to her boss before she left Canada.

The beauty of an international portkey was the almost total lack of travel time. The curse was that the different time zones were horrific to adjust to. But since she was due to be in the UK for less than 24 hours she didn’t really try. Instead she focused on immediate washing needs and the dumping out and re-packing of her suitcase.
