Re: Thad & Dagny
The suggestion of name drew a loud, sharp bark of laughter from him, and he wasn't sure if he was impressed or horrified with it. On the one hand, he'd never particularly liked Gavin much and wouldn't want to be bandying the name about, even for a fake pet, but on the other, she wasn't wrong about its eyes. "You may be right about that," he conceded. "We should make sure we're recording if Gavin ever finds out."
When they made it to the next booth, they had to wait in a small queue but it was only a few minutes before it was there turn. "Let's see if those reflexes haven't abandoned me since the season's end," he said, waggling his brows at her. A subtle nod at the attendant, and he started his first turn. He passed a coin over and the attendant flicked her wand at the claw, releasing it for Thad to maneuver.
He missed purposefully on the first attempt, pouting dramatically at Dagny before passing another coin over for a second attempt. The attendant cast a subtle bit of magic, the little egg jewelry box being caught in the claw in a way that hopefully looked entirely of his own skill. It was his anyway, having been planted among the prizes ahead of time. As the prize was released into the little chute, he gave a little cheer, grinning at Dagny.
