There had been another ribbing in there, and Kenzie had almost blurted it out, until he told her what he had been arrested for. She moved then, needing to look at him now. She shifted until she could straddle him carefully where he sat, her arms loosely falling over his shoulders. "What?" she asked, unable to form a thought just then. "Are you alright?" she asked, hands now reaching for his. If he had hurt someone, she assumed his knuckles might be a bit beat up. Since her hands were free, with him holding the joint, she was able to snag his free hand.
"Thank the Gods you were there, that poor person," she said softly, concern on those dark features. It could have been a man or woman that he'd saved, she wasn't going to pry. She assumed since he hadn't mentioned names, that she wouldn't know the person anyway.
