Unfortunately for Penny, Amara knew her too well. The talk of relationships, dinners, mum and dad, had Penny ready to bolt. It took far more focus than she was willing to admit to take that cup of coffee, not spilling it into her own lap. There wasn't a chance she was ready for meeting the family, especially not with the parents. While it did seem the perfect idea, Penny wasn't willing to commit to any sort of date. Not just then. "I'm busy that day, I don't think we'll be able to make it," she said politely, before taking a sip from her coffee.
Could she get her sister to think about something other than this silly dinner party? "What do you mean by you're set? I need more information, would you have been able to keep this man off you? What if Wes hadn't been there," she was distracted, she had been distracted just long enough to let her sister get a bit lost in her fantasy. Penny wasn't going to play nice, not when it came to her sister being hurt.
