Penny all but flew across the room, pushing the sliding door open wider so that she could slip out onto the balcony with her sister. "Are you alright?" she asked, unable to hide her emotions. Worry was creasing her brows, and her eyes were quickly moving over her sister's slender form for any sort of indication of what had happened.
As soon as the question had left her lips, she knew she had to explain just a touch. "I've told you about Wes, haven't I?" she asked, not actually waiting for an answer. "He reached out to me this morning, just after my run. He told me I might want to check on you." She hoped her sister wouldn't be mad, though she supposed Wes wouldn't have reached out if it was something that Amara and Wes were keeping secret between them.
