Re: Victoire & Miguel
The Carnival wasn't Miguel's usual venue to be working; Aloysius was notorious for keeping the DJ roster varied to keep the club from becoming stale and routine, which he could respect. Tonight, though, it was his turn to shine in the club. He didn't even mind when someone tried to bribe him to play songs for the birthday girl. It just so happened that the birthday girl had good taste in music, and so he slipped some of her favorite songs into the mix.
The energy pulsed in the club, and by the time he turned the system over to his assistant for his break, he was practically vibrating with it. He moved through the crowd, smiling widely as he danced his way through.
Until he spotted her.
The angel in the gold, sequined dress.
She was absolutely stunning, an ethereal beauty shimmering around her, and he just knew he had to meet her. Coming up to her, close enough to be heard but not so close so as to crowd her, Miguel said, "Tonight's already been pretty fantastic, but the only thing that could make it better is a dance with you. Please say you'll humor me." He gave her his best puppy dog eyes paired with his crooked, charming smile, and held a hand out to her.
