Gavin, Rose, & Lily
Like Hunter, Gavin had gone to the pub with his teammates after the big win. He'd let Hunter know over beers that he'd be taking Molly up on her invitation to her birthday party, and once the team celebration had died down, he'd headed out. He tipped the doorman at Carnival, who let him know the party was congregating in the VIP area, which had been entirely set aside for Miss Weasley. He headed straight there, waving to the Birthday Queen on her throne, and mouthing 'nice dress' as he passed her. She gave him a little eye roll and laugh in response.
He stopped a couple of tables over where he saw vodka was the table service bottle of choice and made himself an easy vodka and tonic. And then, the object of his scanning eyes appeared. Rose Weasley had been a surprise to him, and he hadn't heard from her since their notes concerning his lavish gift. But he'd known she would be here tonight. He'd over heard Molly Sue a few weeks ago, talking about how she'd invited her cousins. Rose wouldn't miss a family get together, not for a beloved cousin's birthday. He'd had a feeling.
And there she was. Sitting with a very, very familiar redhead. He smiled, his eyes narrowing. He couldn't have concocted a better scenario in his wildest dreams.
