Shifting, Nate uncrossed his legs, bringing one up to rest his ankle on the opposite knee. He'd opted for a brandy, which he'd been nursing for a little while already. The point was not to reach a friendly, bubbly buzz, as Eve's sister seemed to have reached, but rather a simple, warm relaxation. He chuckled at the younger woman's chattering, nodding his head slowly. "I am, indeed," he confirmed. "I know Beau is quite enjoying it. I like to imagine he's imparting all sorts of acting tips to the new blood."
Even though Beau's achievements weren't his own, he still felt a bit of pride in his boyfriend. More than a bit, really. Beau was incredible. He'd always thought so, and he couldn't be happier that he was his.
"It has its charms, though nearly anywhere can be wonderful with the right company," he said, laying on the charm as he wondered if he could get Alex to break out in giggles again. Was she that buzzed yet? With Eve off doing Mr. Tall, Dark, and Mysterious somewhere, he had to entertain himself somehow.
