"Also good," he returned. When she stood, he went ahead and took that as an invitation, shifting around the barstool next to him so that there was only one between them now. Her next question teased a chuckle from him, taking it as confirmation that she was, indeed, the one with whom he'd been chatting earlier, and he gave an exaggerated little shrug. "It doesn't seem to want to vacate just yet. Thankfully, it's not a terrible song to have stuck in one's head."
He glanced away briefly, and then looked back at her. "No, not at all. This outing was quite impromptu," he answered. "I found myself craving the energy of a crowd tonight," he added, hoping it wasn't an odd thing to admit to. "You?"
