Zee looked behind him to the girls at Clea's question and gave his blonde a look of confusion. Molly Sue turned to her friend and said, "The VIP lounge, of course," she indicated the packed first-floor dancefloor. "You can't expect us to be out there," the crowd was already getting sweaty and touchy and she grimaced.
Johnson led them up to the second floor, up a roped off staircase where a familiar bouncer was checking names on another list like the ones outside. This list was considerably shorter. "Marcus!" Molly shouted, giving him air kisses. The man was massive, well over six feet tall and beefy. But he had a huge friendly grin and greeted Molly with the same enthusiasm she'd shown.
"Anya! So good to see you," his voice was deep and comforting. "And who's this?" He asked, eyeing the new addition up and down.
Molly announced, "This is my cousin, Clea Muggs. She's brilliant and far more beautiful than me so I absolutely had to bring her along tonight. I had heard such good things about the new spot." She looked behind her at the hundred-plus gorgeous bodies on the dancefloor.
He nodded, "You are one of the most beautiful women I've ever known," he said, his voice sounding apologetic, "But I'm afraid I have to agree." He sent Clea a smile.
