Fiona resisted the urge to point out that 'under different circumstances' would have likely meant a very long time from now and still come nowhere near matching the passion and intensity they'd shared the night before. She worried that he was expecting the confident, take-charge woman he'd been with last night, but that just wasn't her. Even though the memory of it was quite thrilling, she didn't know how to be that person.
"Breakfast sounds lovely. Maybe you've got a pair of sweats or something I can borrow?" she asked. It would be silly to pop home for clothes if she was going to stay for breakfast, wouldn't it? The soft cotton shirt she'd borrowed last night was quite comfortable, after all. "And I don't think I need more rest. I actually feel more rested than I have in a very long time," she admitted. Sleep hadn't been the most peaceful in recent years, but she'd made a lot of progress last year. Last night, though? Last night was the best night's sleep she could remember ever having. "I can help you in the kitchen?" she offered.
