Re: Casper & Fiona - the next morning
He didn't know it, but he held his breath when she mentioned 'where we go from here' but when she finished, he exhaled gently and felt the rush one feels when they finally receive oxygen again. He nodded. "I understand, and while I wish it had been under different circumstances, I'm glad you were here, too." The thought of what might have happened to her had she not gone home with him, had they not run into each other at all, slammed into him. He kept his panic and spiraling thoughts to himself, though, his face keeping a calm, pleasant look, and his body staying relaxed with her in his arms. He didn't want to worry her, and the worst hadn't happened, so all the overthinking was for naught.
"Well, I do have one idea about where to go from here... Can I make you breakfast? Breakfast in bed so you can rest more?" He didn't even know if she was a breakfast eater, but he wanted to continue comforting her, wanted to give to her in that way. In any way. "And if not breakfast, we could just relax here, maybe watch movies, nap, I could hold you more..." He really did like holding her. If she wanted to leave to go about her day, though, he'd have to just let the moment pass, as much as he wanted it to continue.
