His eyebrows quirked quickly at her not again but he didn't want to make her feel she needed to explain anything, so he smoothed his features and shook his head. "Okay, no hospitals, it's okay." His voice was soothing, a calm tone he'd learned as a kid when he'd needed to use it to get his way.
"It's okay, I'm just, I'm so sorry. Is there anything you need? Anything I can do?" Maybe she wanted to never think about this again, never see him again, because surely he'd be a reminder, wouldn't he? And god, that still didn't deal with the worry in the pit of his stomach that he'd crossed some horrible line with her last night.
