When he saw her tears spill he couldn't help himself any more - any selfish worry about a rejection flew from his mind and all he could do was allow himself to comfort her. He moved forward, slowly, and brought a hand to her cheek, giving her the chance to move away if she wanted, and then wiped his thumb gently against her tear track. "Don't think for a second about making me feel better," he said, earnestly, and asked, "Do you need anything? Do you want to go to St. Mungo's?" Did women go to hospital when they'd been drugged? Maybe they could find out what she'd been given? Or even by whom? Somehow?
"What can I do?" he asked urgently, completely unsure in such a situation.
