Demo chuckled. "Ah, yeah Da didn't take over The Phoenix until I was already at Hogwarts, but he was already working pubs so I spent time in a few. Sometimes it was safer than being in Papa's studio," he shrugged. Between two Dads and all of his grandparents Demo's childcare had been a little chaotic, but fun for him. He got to experience a range of people and settings. "I was of age before I was allowed behind the bar, obviously, but I served food before." He forgot, as always, that people who didn't have family in the pub trade probably didn't know all the rules about who could work where and when.
"For you, maybe. I never got beyond average on a Quidditch Pitch," he said, demonstrably unbothered by it. "I don't mind a race or two, but I'm not great." It was true is broom racing skills were a touch better than his Quidditch ones and he enjoyed going at breakneck speed, but neither was a particular strength.
There was a tickle in the back of his mind about how public figures were treated by fans, wondering if it was something he could create a piece on. "Do you get a lot of that?" he asked, tossing a thumb at the long departed fans. "Not the autographs, the wandering hands?" he asked, hand doing a slightly wobbly demonstration. The upside of being a radio personality was that people mostly recognised him only if he spoke. Sure some people looked up WWN presenters, but his voice was more familiar than his image.
