The hesitation didn't go unnoticed, and he wondered if he should pry. He toed his sneaker against the ground a moment, nodding his head. "I was going to slip out to smoke, now that the little guy's gone to find Gramps," he said, as hands came up to pat at his pockets. "Want to join? You can help me figure out how to tell this new bird that my name isn't Jeremy. I think I actually like being her friend," he said in a rush, while pulling a small bag from his pocket, that was magically enlarged.
