When the man reported no real damaged she smiled widely, glad she hadn't made someone else hurt because of her own pain.
She took a couple of slow breaths as she answered, hearing the soft thud of the door closing behind her. Alright was never really her state of being, but that was a lot to dump on a stranger. "I'm well enough," she said, slow blinking a couple of times and wincing as she shifted slightly. "Just coming for flowers to brighten my day. Opening the door and steering at the same time didn't combine well today," she said. She looked past him and raised her eyebrows in surprise. "I didn't expect so many people." She could feel the edges of her pain being blunted in real time, a reaction she never quite got used but was incredibly thankful for.
