Living in his own little house on the Nott land suited Thad tremendously. He loved being close enough that he could walk to pop in on his parents (it was always good to get places physically rather than magically when one could--it gave him an edge on the pitch, he rather thought), but not so close that they were always in his business.

One of his favorite times to stop in was Sunday brunch, though it always depended on his game and training schedule. He was free today, though, as their next game was later in the week, and he was in good spirits for it. He'd jogged over in a pair of sweatpants and t-shirt with the Magpies logo, not bothering with a sweater as he wanted to feel the chill on his skin.

He opened the door that led directly into the kitchen, pausing for a moment to grin at the scene that met him. His mum sat on the island counter, one leg crossed over the other, an apple in hand with a few bites missing from it. His dad was leaning against the counter next to her, spatula in his hand held away from his mum's clothes as he leaned in. Their noses were nearly brushing, eyes focused on one another as though preceding a good snog.

Thad soaked the moment in for a brief moment before groaning exaggeratedly. "Ugh! Get a room!" he announced his presence, teasing his parents in a rather expected manner.

Pansy laughed as Theo started to step back from her, her free hand reaching out to snare fingers in his shirt, tugging him back to her so she could brush a quick kiss to his lips. "Why, when we've got a whole house to ourselves?" she asked, teasing right back. "When you just walk right in, you can't blame anyone but yourself for what you see," she added, looking at Thad now, her smile dimming to a slight frown when she noticed what he was wearing. She knew better than to say anything though.

"Indeed," Theo chimed in, his eyes twinkling at Pansy for another moment before he turned back to the stove.

Thad shrugged as he closed the door and crossed to the refrigerator. Before he even had a chance to open the jug of juice, his mum called out, "Get a glass, Thaddeus." Sighing and rolling his eyes where she couldn't see, he closed the fridge and opened a nearby cabinet for a glass.

"I wasn't going to drink straight from it," he lied, the exchange all too familiar. It was all so incredibly comforting, this feeling of family and inclusion. He might not remember his life before them, but there were feelings that cropped in from time to time that made moments like these all the more treasured.
