When Daani pulled away and stretched, Jules took it as indication that the moment for physical comfort had passed. She quietly went back to the other chair, listening as she talked about her work, glad that it was a good distraction for her.
Before she could comment on it, the bell rang and Jules furrowed her brows as she watched her friend handle the transaction. She would have paid for the pizza herself if Daani hadn't jumped to it so quickly, and she felt a bit guilty, as it had been her idea to order in.
"That smells delicious," she said with a small grin when she heard Daani's stomach growl. It was good that she had an appetite despite all of the emotional turmoil.
