It sounded as though she and Manny had had a wonderful, close relationship, and she couldn't imagine how painful it must have been to lose it. She knew enough about what had happened to know that Daani had brought at least some of it on herself by keeping things from him and breaking things off, but she also knew from the visions she'd had last summer just how Daani's grief and pain had pushed her to shut down and shut him out.
"Oh love," she breathed, her heart bursting with sympathy for the other woman. "I don't think anyone could fault you for hurting at finding out that way."
This wasn't the sort of situation where logic would help, and she wasn't always great at logic anyway. She sat in the chair across from Daani, tucking her knees at an angle in front of her on the seat. "I can't imagine trying to move past that sort of love." She wanted to ask if Daani thought she might be willing to try dating soon, but it felt insensitive, and so she held it back.
