The truth of the matter was that Thad didn't really have close guy friends that he could talk to about this stuff. And with as serious as things had become with Dagny, it had felt strange to talk to Willow about it. It had been different when he'd just been sleeping around, enjoying his newfound Quidditch fame, especially because Willow had always been firmly in the friend's zone for him. But living together and the possibility of marriage? It just felt like something he should talk to another guy about, the way he knew his dad could always talk to Uncle Blaise.
"That makes sense," he agreed with a small shrug. Did that mean he ought to wait for Dagny to start giving hints that she was eager to get engaged before seriously considering proposing?
"I mean, yeah? Not right away, yet, but sooner than I'd have ever thought," he admitted. "She's the real deal, mate, and I seriously can't believe she ever gave me the time of day." He would never underplay how lucky he thought he was to have her.
