While a part of him had always known he would want what his parents had someday, he'd never expected to find it this early in his life, but he knew he never wanted to lose her. He loved how easily they'd settled into these domestic routines, he thought as she dealt with the flowers. "Good. I went with today's special. Lisa swore we wouldn't be disappointed."
He couldn't help grinning at that, thrilled that she'd been thinking about their dream home. So far, things were okay at the cottage, but he knew they would need and want more space before too long. "Definitely a good kitchen," he agreed easily. He didn't think he'd ever be anything like a master chef, or even as good in the kitchen as his dad was, but it was a skill he fully intended on cultivating, enjoying spoiling her. "What else are you thinking? Any wild wants for it?" he asked as they moved everything to the couch.
