Teddy sent you a message! What is carefully adventurous? Genuinely curious.
Caleb: Mostly I'm not into many extreme adventures and I don't like to do adventurous new things alone. Plus it's more fun with a friend. No dragons for me thanks. Have you worked with dragons?
Teddy: My Uncle used to work in Romania and I've had my fair share of time at the Dragon Sanctuary myself. Personally, I've done a bit more freelance relocating. Sphinxes, Griffins, and Chimera in the Balkans. Greece is a personal favorite of mine.
Not everything I go after are dangerous. I spent a week in the states tracking and relocating a colony of jackalope that strayed too close to a farmer's land.
What's something you haven't done before?
Caleb: Greece is beautiful, but my experience leans more to beaches and museums. And I like animals, but mostly the type that are safe as pets.
Oh I'd be terrible at tracking. I'm not coordinated.
So many things. How do I choose.
Teddy: Your profile says you're creative. What's something creative you've always wanted to do that you haven't?
Caleb: That's still a lot of things! I'd love to be able to knit or crochet. I can sort of knit regular stitches if people start for me, but I can't change colours or make patterns or cast on or off. Oh, or I'd love to try weaving my own fabric some time!
What animal haven't you worked with that you'd like to?
Teddy: I wouldn't be working with a Hippocampus. It would be nice to work with a merebeing that doesn't want to drown you (Kelpies are not my favorite).
I heard Greece has some of the best weavers. Ever thought of a trip?
Caleb: I like to swim, but usually in pools far from anything too dangerous. I'd only end up tangled in weeds.
I've been before, but just for a holiday. Weaving would definitely come under work as much as fun for me. Pretty sure my business partner would have kittens if I wanted to do a work trip to Greece.
Teddy: Always something to work towards. I'm sure the business keeps you busy.
What do you do?
Caleb: Oh, right. I run The Creative Collection with my best friend. I personally make all sorts of things in the fabric and embroidery line. Soft toys, patches, a few quilts. That sort of thing. Business things we share.
Teddy: I like the name.
Being a creator and part owner, do you often have any free time? I'm not due out of country for another few weeks. Maybe we could grab a coffee? Or tea, if that's more your preference.
Caleb: Thanks, although that one wasn't me.
We're very aware of avoiding burnout, so yes I have free time. Or I can make some. I'm not a coffee drinker, tea on the other hand I love. And yeah, I'd like to meet up with you. Are you a cat or dog person? Or both I guess?
Teddy: A bit of both. It's more of an all around animal person. Sounds like you have a place in mind too.
Caleb: Well that makes sense with your job. But maybe The Purrfect Fix? The cats are adorable and they have good tea, and hopefully good coffee too. If we worked an afternoon it could be a bit quieter and there's also cake.
