He ducked his head after the kiss, hoping it wasn't unwelcome. He'd acted on instinct still riding the high of reaching the top of the wall. Luckily she didn't seem to mind. He flashed her a quick smile before she headed off for her own attempt.
He winced and sucked in a breath when she came away from the wall, but when she managed to grab hold again he had to hold in a whoop. The adrenaline rush was definitely pushing him into far more overt action and reaction than he usually displayed. It was a fun feeling.
He gave a polite clap along with a few others in the group when she reached the top. He'd forgotten what it was like to have one of your friends far up in a precarious position. And what he'd been used to was friends on broomsticks and all the inherent magical safety available. The ropes seemed just as safe.
